Gent Gjini, the lawyer of the family of Faton Hajrizi, who is suspected to have been killed by the Serbian police, has stated that they will seek Albania's help in solving this case.

Lawyer Gjini said that Albania's help will be requested in order for talks with Serbia on this matter to be carried out at an official level, because Belgrade does not yet recognize Kosovo.

He told Euronews Albania that it is not yet clear if Faton Hajrizi has been killed, which according to him will be confirmed only after his body has been examined.

"The case of Hajriz is a complex issue and we have come up with a proposal that the Republic of Albania should also deal with this issue. We will ask for Albania to offer us its intergovernmental and legal capacities, to talk with the Serbian side through official channels and to be equal as a state.

It is known that Serbia does not recognize us as a state and we always fall into word games, the feelings of the Albanian nation are played by the Serbs. We do not know whether Hajrizi was killed or not, as the body must be examined. Serbia does not recognize the Kosovar side and does not talk with it. By intervening, Albania will understand that his body is not there ," said Gjini.
