The burning of the waste landfill in Vlora

Vlora is experiencing an environmental drama, as it is at the height of the tourist season.

Even today, in the coastal city, the high-intensity burning of tons of waste that has been deposited in the city's landfill for years has continued.

The images coming from Vlora are sad, as a huge cancerous cloud of smoke has almost completely covered the city.

The criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, does not hesitate to call this "a terrorist act", as he says that the arson is intentional.

"You intentionally set fire to garbage in Vlora, at the height of the tourist season, it is a TERRORIST ACT", he writes.

Until now, there is no reaction from the local authorities regarding this situation, while the firefighters, many of whom are engaged in extinguishing the fires in the mountains, seem to find it impossible to isolate this fire.
