Ardi Veliu will manage the state-owned Arms Production and Trading Company "KAYO" sh.a.

The company established in September of this year will be responsible for the production, demilitarization and trade of weapons, ammunition, equipment and military technologies.

Based on the law published in the Official Journal in August, during the development of its activity, the Society will also pursue economic and commercial interests related to the military industry.

Private individuals can also be involved in arms trading, through the form of concession to finance the projects of entities for special purposes.

According to the government, this industry can become profitable for the Albanian economy, while there is a large global demand for weapons and ammunition.

It should be noted that the managers of the state-owned arms production company will be paid with salaries that exceed 5500 euros per month.

The general director of KAYO, specifically Ardi Veliu, will be paid 564 thousand lek per month.

Its deputy director will be paid 454 thousand ALL per month, while the 4 directors of the directorates will each be paid 509 thousand ALL per month.

Only for the management staff of 6 people, the company will pay over 300 thousand euros in salaries per year, while for the managers of the sector and experts the salaries will be from 344 thousand allek per month.
