Arte Nikolla, 66 years old, tearfully asks the highest heads of state to take away his Albanian passport. Behind this seemingly extreme request, hides her constant efforts to have a home.

Nikolla tells 'Fax News' television that she was left homeless in 2017, after the state took the entrance she had to a building in the City of Laçi, right next to the former Officers' house, to convert it into office space.

She points out that at that time, like other families in that building, she hoped to get a soft loan and not be left on the streets, but that did not happen. "I took my documents to the Kurbin municipality 100 times, I had many meetings in banks, they left me on the streets," she says. No institution gave her a solution, leaving the elderly woman homeless for 6 years.

"I am Arte Nikolla, mother of 3 children from Laçi, district no. 2 of the city. I lived for 20 years in a row in the Former Officers' House, I entered with regular letters from the District Council and the Municipality. After so long, we have received an order for the status as homeless, with the papers for a soft loan.

I received the letters for a soft loan, I filled them out and Tirana approved them all, the bank called me to show up.

I went to the mayor's office and told him, please, I am a mother with children, the head of the family, don't leave me. He told me that he would not leave me without a home. To this day I am homeless, door to door. My clothes are in warehouses in the city of Laçi. I am divorced, the 2 children have created their own families and the little son has no home. Not that they kicked me out, but they have nowhere to keep me with a room and a kitchen.

Sometimes I sleep with one, sometimes with other relatives, I have no choice. I entered that house in 1997 and left in 2017, because the state wanted to build offices there. It's collapsed now, there are problems. The people who lived there were all treated with soft loans, while I didn't get it because I didn't meet the criteria. They ran away from there.

I have submitted my documents 100 times to the municipality of Kurbini, I am sorry that I am a citizen of Laçi and they have never treated me. They found my ex-husband's last name for not treating me, while I was divorced in 1982, how was it found in 2018?

After 40 years is a surname found? I have lived here, and they told me that I am only entitled to 1 year of rent. Tirana verified my loan, I was very happy at the time that I was going to get a house, after 5 days I went to the bank and they told me that Tirana stopped it. I'm sure someone gets that soft loan, I'm 66, I'm not the lady to find it.

I turn to the president, the prime minister because no one treats me with any kind of rights, I want a letter to take away my Albanian passport. It's hard, but I've also been on the streets for 6 years. I want a bed to sleep, my clothes are in the water," said Nikola.
