Alessio Lori , the right-hand man of the powerful Albanian boss Elvis Demçe , has been found dead in Rome, in an " air B&B ".
It is suspected that he committed suicide, as the firearm was found near his body.
Lori, who would have turned 34 in January, had been on the run for a month after escaping house arrest by cutting off her electronic bracelet.
Lori, known as " Chiappa ", was awaiting the final sentence for his "sustained participation in the wholesale purchase and distribution of the subjects ".
However, after he was arrested last summer for a new drug-related episode, he was placed under house arrest, where, in addition to not being able to commit any more crimes, he would probably be better protected from fear of reprisals, and which is one of the possible reasons for suicide.
Who is Elvis Demçe?
Elvis Demçe, known as 'Drug Lord', is accused together with four other people for the attempted murder of Alessio Marzani, the 45-year-old wounded with a gunshot on October 22, 2020 in Acilia.
Demçe, linked in the past to Fabrizio Piscitelli, alias Diabolik, the leader of Lazio Irriducibili killed on August 7, 2019 in Parco degli Acquedotti, was arrested in July last year by the carabinieri of the Ostia investigative unit for the wounding of Marzani.
The decryption of several encrypted conversations with the 'Sky-Ecc' system contained on a server on French territory was essential to the investigations by the carabinieri, coordinated by the Rome anti-mafia district directorate.
