A 20-year-old man from Fieri has been criminally prosecuted by the Pogradec police after he systematically raped his minor cohabitant for 20 months in a row.

The 16-year-old girl confessed to the police that her co-habitant kept her locked up in his apartment in Roskovec and abused her even during the months of her pregnancy.

Police notification:

The Pogradec Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the criminal proceedings began for the citizen M. Ç., 20 years old, resident in the village of Kuman, Fier, after he allegedly raped his co-habitant.

The minor told the police officers that a week ago she left her roommate's apartment to her parents and told him over the phone that she will abort the child.

"The Pogradec police have criminally prosecuted a 20-year-old resident of Roskovec because there is a lawsuit against him by his 16-year-old co-habitant with the initials VT, who, according to the local police, claims that he has been systematically raped for months by the 20-year-old M.Ç even during the months of pregnancy.

The 16-year-old VT informed the police officer of the Pogradec police station that a year ago she left her apartment to live with the 20-year-old in Roskovec, Fier, without her parents' knowledge.

According to her, the co-habitant kept her by force inside the premises of the house, not allowing her to leave the apartment for any moment, and even physically abused her."
