At the entrance of the port of Durrës, the opposition and members of civil society are protesting against the containers that are suspected of containing dangerous waste, and which are expected to arrive at this port on Monday morning.

One of those present at the protest said that chemical waste should be handled according to protocols. "They are harmful, they don't choose, they harm everyone's health, so today we protest, all citizens should protest", he said.

While another participant said that the fact that this amount of waste was returned shows how dangerous it is. She asked the citizens of Durrës and the whole of Albania to react strongly.

Environmentalist Sazan Guri said that today the citizens, the parents of every child, must react.

"Don't stay in coffee on this day, you are the voice of a parent and the head of the family that we have the duty to react to this dangerous waste.

Even if the devil organized this protest, I would come, because I am convinced of what will happen to the country from this tragedy", said Guri. He requested that these wastes be subjected to analysis to see what compounds they have, since even if they are buried we can damage everything.

Another participant, a representative of PAA, said that Albania cannot be treated as a place where hazardous waste can be deposited. "Citizens, react, protest," he said.

The "Moliva" ship, which is suspected of transporting containers with about 2100 tons of hazardous waste, is expected to enter the port of Durrës on Monday morning.
