Saimir Tahiri

" What if I was corrupt? I did not come to Italy to ask the Guardia di Finanza to double the flights to monitor the territory. I asked all European countries to help us fight drug trafficking "

There is a video of what former Minister of the Interior Saimir Tahiri said, a few days before his arrest, about the investigative documentary " I narcos albanesi " that will be broadcast on Saturday, September 24, at 9:25 p.m. in the Italian media.

Tahiri, a few days after the interview, ends up in prison after being sentenced to 3 years and 4 months for abuse of office, accused of being associated with a criminal group that trafficked hashish to Italy. The ex-minister met the Italian journalists himself, in Tirana, and talked to them about the accusations and the titol attacks on his father's businesses.

" They put bombs on me, and such a thing has never happened in Albania, marijuana is not a story of criminals, but of poverty ", says Tahiri in the Italian documentary.
