Ervin Hodaj has been released from the position of Police Director in Shkodër.

It is learned that instead of Hodaj, Edmond Sulaj has been appointed, who since 2022 has held the position of Police Director in Kukës.

Hodaj's resignation is not yet known. Since 2015, Hodaj has been in Tirana, and was fired in 2017 to be replaced by Ardi Veliu, at that time director of Roads.

Hodaj has been accused by the opposition of favoring drug trafficking in those years, and of being involved in the cultivation of cannabis in some areas of the country.

Ervin Hodaj also tried to take the head of the National Bureau of Investigation, which is currently held by Aida Hajnaj.
