32-year-old arrested in Kavaja for moving around the city with a weapon

The State Police has continued its controls in Kavaja to prevent and crack down on illegal possession of weapons, finalizing the operation codenamed "Fast".

As part of this operation, the services of the Kavaja Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, have located and arrested a 32-year-old man.

Citizen F. Rr., a resident of Kavaja, was arrested in neighborhood no. 2 of the city, while moving on foot. During the search, the police found and seized a firearm, a pistol with combat ammunition, which he was carrying without a permit.

At the conclusion of the procedural actions, he was arrested in flagrante delicto and the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Durres for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
