Armed, 57-year-old man arrested in Fier, previously convicted of murder

A 57-year-old man previously convicted of murder has been arrested by Fier Police after he was caught moving around armed with a pistol and combat ammunition.

The operation, codenamed "Pathway", was conducted following operational information about his suspicious activity, leading to his arrest at a bar in the village of Ferme Çlirim and the seizure of the double-barreled pistol firearm he had with him.

Police Notification

The Special Operations Force services, in cooperation with the Section for the Investigation of Crimes Against the Person and the services of the Fier Police Commissariat, in continuation of the work to identify and crack down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, based also on the information provided about a citizen who was moving armed, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Pathway".

During the operation, the Police services caught the citizen PM red-handed, in a bar in the village of Ferme Çlirim, with 1 firearm, a pistol, and 2 magazines with 7 cartridges each, which he was carrying in his handbag.

Following procedural actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Fier Police Commissariat arrested citizen PM, 57 years old, resident of the village of Sulaj, Fier, previously convicted of murder.

The procedural materials were referred to the Fier Prosecutor's Office for further action.
