Strong earthquake tremors in Albania

Strong earthquake tremors were felt this Tuesday evening, February 24, in several areas of the country.

According to official data from the Institute of Geosciences, the earthquake was recorded at 8:00 PM and had a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in Rrasë, Elbasan, with coordinates 40.98°N and 19.835°E, while the depth was 10 kilometers.

However, the tremors were also felt in Tirana, as well as in other nearby cities.

So far, there are no reports of material damage or injured people.
