After this serious event, 12 prison employees were arrested, among them the Director of Peqin Prison, Kamber Hoxha.

But only Arben Lleshi, another prisoner was targeted to be killed in Peqin prison. According to the testimony of Indri Shaqe, who was wounded by Sokol Mjacaj's bullets, 200,000 euros were also offered for the head of Xheladin Kruja.

In the capacity of a person who knows about the circumstances of the event, the victim Indrit Shaqja was asked, who also stated that "during the entire time he was in prison twice at the counter of the door of the room found two handwritten letters, one about four years ago and the other about a year and a half ago in Peqin prison with the same content that we will pay 200 thousand euros, we will also provide the poison for you to carry out the death of that Arben Lleshi, if you agree with both cases, they told him that if you agree, give us an answer by letter.

It is also stated that in both cases the letters were given to the citizen Arben Lleshi, whom he stated that the whole prison knows about, I had good relations in Fushë Krujë, and then he broke them because this convict despised his religion.

In Peqin, it has been in a special regime for 3 months because the phone is picked up in the room. In the following, he stated that an anonymous person sent a letter to Arben Lleshi in the chamber warning him that they are paying 200 thousand euros for your head and 200 thousand euros for Xhelad Krujë".

But who is Xheladin Kruja?

On May 3, 2001, Xheladin Kruja is accused of killing two brothers Eliton and Enton Grezda, 20 and 18 years old, in the neighborhood "Naim Gjylbegu" in Shkodër.

The murder happened after a fight between young people when Kruja was also 22 years old at the time. After the fight, he went home, took the machine gun and fired a volley at the two brothers.

He fled the scene and was arrested two days later. While he was serving his sentence in the prison of Saint Kolli, on June 3, 2021, he tried to kill the former head of the municipality of Rrethina, Kleves Muja.

A year later, in 2013, he was sentenced to 16 years and 8 months in prison and sent to a high security prison.

According to the prosecution body, from the investigations carried out, it was proven, thanks to the footage recorded by the security cameras of the prison, that the defendant Xheladin Kruja hit the citizen Keleves Muja in the neck with a pipe modified as a knife.

This attack happened just as Muja was returning to his cell after meeting with his family members.
