BREAKING NEWS/ Enkelejd Joti resigns as director of RTSH

Enkelejd Joti has resigned from the position of General Director of Albanian Radio and Television. Through a letter addressed to the Governing Council of RTSH, Joti has irrevocably resigned from the position he held since 2021.

It is known that his resignation came after he is expected to take the post of Deputy Minister of Defense.

"In compliance with Article 106 of Law no. 97/2013 "On audiovisual media in the Republic of Albania" amended, RTSH Statute no. 98/2016, I submit my irrevocable resignation from the position of General Director of Albanian Radio and Television (RTSH)", the letter says .

The Steering Council of RTSH on November 15, 2021, elected Enkelejd Jotin as head of Albanian Radio Television with seven votes.

Joti previously held the position of General Director of Top Media, for 12 consecutive years, from 2003 until December 2015 when he resigned.

He has completed studies in the field of economics and finance, and comes with more than a decade of managerial experience in one of the most powerful media companies. The race was opened after the arrest of former director Thoma Gëllçi, for corruption with tenders.
