A photo has been published of miner Ilir Kolaveri, who lost his life when he accidentally fell and was then crushed by a massive pile of chrome in the Tërnovo mine.

Kolaver, who is the father of three minor children, two boys and a girl, was pulled from the depths of the mine on Saturday afternoon, and today he will be given his final farewell.

The Suç-Kurdari-Klos Municipality Administrative Unit has also reacted to this, dedicating a tribute to the 40-year-old. According to the administrative unit's website, Kolaveri was a family member and a good friend to those who knew him.

"Rest in peace ," the response said.

Meanwhile, the police announced that they have arrested the technical director of the mining company Perparim Koçi, for failing to take appropriate measures.
