Drivers beware! The Tirana-Durrës highway will be blocked for 2 nights,

On Friday and Saturday (August 14-15), two lanes on the Tirana-Durres highway will be blocked from 23:00-05:00 as the metal beams of the new Kashari overpass will be installed.

The Albanian Road Authority announces that traffic towards Durrës will be diverted to the two lanes on the left side that will temporarily function as a two-way road.

Movement towards Tirana airport will not be impeded.

Announcement:

Following the completion of the construction works for the facility: "Expansion of the Tirana-Durrës Superhighway (Phase III)", the implementation of the Traffic Management Plan is necessary.

On August 14 and 15, 2026, from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM, the installation of the metal beams of the new Kashari overpass will be carried out. For the implementation of these works, as well as for road safety, it is necessary to block two lanes of the main axis in the Tirana-Durres direction.

During this interval, vehicle traffic moving towards the city of Durrës will be diverted to the two lanes on the left side of the highway, which will temporarily function as a two-way road.

Vehicles bound for Tirana International Airport will continue to move without hindrance.
