Guests on the latest episode of Prime Minister Edi Rama's "Flasim" podcast were Beatriçe Gjergji and Kolë Laca, the winners of the 63rd edition of the Albanian Radio Television Song Festival.
"Zjerm" will represent Albania at Eurovision 2025, which will be held on May 13-17, 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
The vocalists of the group "Shkodra Elektronike" have recounted the emotions of participating in the great musical event, as well as the beginnings of the group that took home the first prize.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rama, who at the start of the podcast, confessed that he did not attend the festival, a "tradition" that he has followed for years.
He did not list the reasons behind such a decision, but apparently he has reservations about the event.
" I still haven't fully listened to the song and I haven't followed the Festival for a long, long time. Don't ask me why, how, because it's probably a long conversation. I know I don't have it and I don't pretend to be right, but that's how it is, I didn't follow it. For the sake of truth, when I didn't follow it this time, I don't think I'll ever follow it.
But never say never, but we are not here for me and it doesn't matter what I think, or what I say about the Festival, what matters is what you say about your life and creativity, because you are the winners.
"There have been cases before when the winner has been controversial, or has created controversy in the public environment, but this time there is a consensus that the winners are the winners ," he said, while the group also admitted that they did not attend the festival either.
