Tragic accident in Italy, 44-year-old man from Durres dies
44-year-old man dies in car accident in Italy

A 44-year-old man from Durres has died as a result of a serious accident that occurred in Italy. According to local media, police found Eduart Shaka outside his car, a few meters away after a head-on collision with a car coming from the opposite direction.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 44-year-old Albanian, resident of Nervesa della Battaglia, was not wearing a seat belt. Initial reports suggest that the Albanian's vehicle, a Fiat Punto, was hit head-on by a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Italian. He was traveling in a Golf-type vehicle.

Italian authorities ordered an autopsy, while 5Carbonera is under investigation. The Golf driven by the 53-year-old was in the opposite lane for reasons still unclear and collided head-on with Shaka's Fiat Punto.

While the collision was fatal for the Albanian, the 53-year-old suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Treviso hospital.

Born in Durrës, Eduart Shaka, who lived with his daughter, moved to Italy in 2010. In the province of Treviso he had found suitable ground to develop his skills and as of 2019 he was successfully managing a carpentry business with another person in Nervesa.
