The head of the Teachers' Union, Sandër Kovaçi, claimed that the teachers will temporarily withdraw from the teaching boycott.

In an appearance for the media, Kovaçi said that despite withdrawing from the boycott, tomorrow they will gather in front of the Polytechnic at 11:00 a.m. to continue another protest.

" Now in 9 weeks from the sending of the petition, 7 weeks of protest and 3 weeks of boycott of the learning process with the aim of reaction, the escalation of the steps followed came as a result of indifference. We are talking about the ministry and the institutions. Parliament and politics were stirred and made this the issue of the day.

The government made cosmetic solutions. Little has been done for the university. Much is said and little is done about universities.

There was intimidation and blackmail against us. The continuation of protests, all democratic processes, including periodic national protests, but temporarily suspending the boycott of the teaching process, fulfilling the academic obligation, that of teaching for students. We continue to ask for our requests.

We decided that tomorrow, November 8, we will hold the next protest at 11 o'clock in front of the Polytechnic. A part of the rectorate thought that it was not the right time for a boycott. The pressure came from the prime minister.

I want to denounce the fact that only 3 universities have promised to finance 8%. We want 30%. In Shkodër, 2% has been approved, as there is no chance of an 8% increase. The boycott of the exam season is a possible variant of the boycott of lessons in the February season," he said.
