Antoneta Sevdari has returned to her duties as a prosecutor after the re-examination of the case by the Special Appeal Board, following the decision given by the Strasbourg Court.

Sevdari, who was dismissed as a prosecutor in 2019 due to the vetting process, has returned to her duties today.

This is the first instance of an entity being triggered by the task and being returned. Antoneta Sevdari will work as a prosecutor in the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana.

The Strasbourg Court had found the decision to dismiss Sevdar disproportionate to the purpose of the vetting law. International observers of the vetting process in Albania had previously taken the same position on this decision.
