32-year-old Roan Brahimi alias Sidorel Prendi was executed yesterday evening in a mafia assassination in Athens, while he was with his wife Katerina Beqo in the car and a few meters away from the vehicle was their little son playing in a park.

Roan Brahimi alias Sidorel Prendi , who was known to friends and relatives as "Sidi", was not an unknown name for the State Police, as he was also known as a rival of the close people of the much-wanted Ervis Martinaj.

In 2014 , Roan Brahim was assassinated by two uncles' sons and another was injured. Specifically, Klodian Ndreca and Taulant Prendi were killed and Aurel Prendi was injured.

Four years later, he was arrested in Lezha, where ammunition, euros and jewelry suspected of criminal activity of theft were seized from him.

Meanwhile, in December 2020 , the bar owned by Gjovalin Prendi, the father of Roan Brahim alias Sidorel Prendi, was shot with a barrage of bullets, but fortunately no one was injured.

Whereas, in 2021 , Roan Brahimi was declared wanted by the Police, after together with two other people they caused terror in a bar in Zejmen, Lezha. Together with Ramazan Rraja and Alesio Dobrozi , they entered armed with Kalashnikovs looking for the owner, an event that happened in 2021.

Roan Brahimi alias Sidorel Prendi is suspected of being involved in the two assassinations that shocked the country in the summer of 2022.

More specifically, that of July 17, 2022 at the Fushë Kruja overpass, where the son of Ervis Martinaj's uncle, Brilant Martinaj, was executed, together with his two friends Diklen Vata and Besmir Hoxha.

Also, Ylli Brahimi alias Ylli Brahja, who was injured and Klisman Preçi was executed, is also suspected of being involved in the recorded assassination attempt against Ervis Martinaj's right-hand man.

For both events, he was wanted, where the Police carried out checks in his apartment in the village of Pllane in Lezha, but he was not found in the apartment both in the first assassination and in the second one.

During the search of the apartment, the police found only his father, Gjovalin Prendi, who was accompanied to the police station to give his statements. 

Gjovalin Prendi said that he had no idea where his son was, at least for a year, as he denied that his son had problems with Ylli Brahim (Brahjan).

"I have no knowledge of the serious incident. I learned everything from TV. I don't know Klisman Precin at all. But I know Ylli Brahim because I have friendly relations. This, as my son's daughter-in-law, Roan Brahimi (Sidorela Prendi) is Ylli Brahimi's close cousin. As far as I know, the father of my son's daughter-in-law, Ylli has an uncle.

My son Roan Brahimi is abroad. In which country I don't know, since I haven't had any communication with him for a long time, for more than a year. I don't even have a phone number or an address on social networks.

I have no knowledge that my son had or has conflicts with Ylli Brahim and his people. My relationships with friends are normal and correct. That's how they always were and always will be. Regarding the event that happened, I want to say that I am very sorry, as I have friends at home ." - declared at that time Gjovalin Prendi, the father of Roan Brahim alias Sidorel Prendi.

But why was the investigative group investing so much in the name of Roan Brahim, as one of the most likely suspects for the assassination of Ylli Brahja and his now deceased friend, Klisman Preçi.

According to secret police documents, everything is said to have arisen after a conflict that Roan Brahimi had with Ylli Brahjan.

Where the latter, according to the prosecution documents, is thought to have taken Roan Brahim to one of the bases where Ervis Martinaj and his trusted men were.  

The base located near Fushë Kuqe, where it is believed that Roan Brahimi was brutally raped.

All this for gambling debts. Upon his exit from there alive, he is said to have warned Ylli Brahjan that "he would never forgive what he had done to him".
