The criminal case against the much-wanted justice Domart Konjari will be retried again in the Special Appeal with a different panel of judges, after the Supreme Court the day before overturned the second-instance decision where it sentenced Konjari to 15 years in prison in absentia.
On October 7, 2021, he was charged with the criminal offenses of “Drug Trafficking ”, “ Laundering of the proceeds of crime or criminal activity ”, “ Criminal Organization ”, “ Committing criminal offenses by a criminal organization”, “Forgery of identity cards, passports or visas” and “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions ”.
According to the prosecution's investigations, Konjari is involved in cocaine and heroin trafficking from Latin America to France and other European countries.
He is suspected of running a cocaine trafficking network in several Central European countries, as it is believed to have direct links to the source in South America.
We recall that he is the main suspect in the execution of Devi Kasmi in January 2018, with whom he also had collaboration in the field of narcotics.
