KLP appoints two new SPAK prosecutors, Bledar Maksuti and Anita Jella

Anita Jella and Bledar Maksuti will be the two new prosecutors who will be added to the SPAK staff. All eight members of the High Prosecution Council who were present at today's meeting voted in favor of the appointment of Jella and Maksut.

The two new prosecutors will serve for a 9-year term without the right to reappointment.

The selection of Jella and Maksut comes after the verification that the Special Commission for the verification of the figure has done and submitted in the final report to the KLP.

This commission, which consists of 2 prosecutors of SPAK, a judge of GJKKO, a financial employee of SPAK and an agent of BKH, has assessed that Jella and Maksuti meet the conditions to exercise their duties as prosecutors at SPAK.

They have successfully passed the check for wealth and purity of image and there is no legal obstacle to prevent their promotion.

As for Anita Jella, she was first in the ranking as the candidate with the most points. Since May 9, 2018, Jella was appointed head of the Durrës Prosecutor's Office.

Meanwhile, Bledar Maksuti was ranked fourth by KLP when the competition for the 3 vacant seats in SPAK was opened. He passed prosecutor Ndini Tavani, who was disqualified from the race after the evaluation of the figure by the special commission.
