A 24-year-old man was arrested by police while transporting a Kalashnikov in a travel suitcase, with the intention of selling the weapon.

The 24-year-old with the initials HM was handcuffed near the bus terminal, on "Kastriotët" street, while the firearm was seized by the police.

Police announcement:

The services of Police Commissariat No. 3, in continuation of their operational and operational work, with a focus on cracking down on the illegal possession and sale of firearms, finalized the "Luggage" operation.

As a result of the immediate intervention, following information obtained through operational channels, citizen HM, 24 years old, resident of Bathore, was caught red-handed and handcuffed, near the bus terminal, on "Kastriotët" street, who was carrying 1 Kalashnikov firearm with combat ammunition in a travel suitcase, suspected of being intended for sale.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
