Lionfish, one of the most dangerous invasive species for the marine ecosystem, is being caught more and more frequently in the waters of the Gulf of Vlora.
The alarm was given by fisherman Sherif Dyrmishi, who indicates that this species has been caught at a depth of up to 40 meters, in the area near Karaburun.
According to him, the lionfish poses a serious danger to fishermen due to its dangerous poison.

Dyrmishi emphasizes that contact with this fish can be dangerous and warns that it should not be consumed, as poisoning can cause serious health consequences.
The lionfish is a species found mainly in the Red Sea and lives at depth.
Experts warn that its presence on Albanian coasts poses a danger to fishermen and the marine ecosystem, so maximum caution is required in case of contact with it.
