A family tragedy occurred on Friday evening in Lezha, where a 42-year-old man was found dead in his tool shop.

Police announce that citizen Aleksandër Marku, 42 years old, resident of the village of Lalm, Lezhë, has died and it is suspected that the death was natural.

But his mother, Prene Marku, when she learned the serious news, in a serious psychological state, is suspected of having hanged herself. She was found lifeless by her family in the apartment in the village of Lalm i Ri, Lezha.

Lezha/Preliminary information

At around 19:30 yesterday evening, in the Gurra neighborhood, Lezha, in his tool shop, citizen AM, 42 years old, resident of the village of Lalm, Lezha, was found without signs of life. Initial investigative actions did not reveal any signs of violence and it is initially suspected that the death was due to natural causes.

Meanwhile, it is suspected that his mother, citizen PM, 72 years old, after receiving the news of the loss of her son's life, in a serious psychological condition, is suspected of having hanged herself, who was found lifeless by family members in the premises of the apartment in the village of Lalm i Ri, Lezha.

The bodies have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Tirana, for forensic examination and the exact determination of the cause of death.
