The Supreme Court rejected the request of the former Minister of the Environment, Lefter Koka, for release from prison for the Fier incinerator case.

Lefter Koka has requested several times to change the security measure, from prison arrest to house arrest, with the argument that he is not in good health.

Lefter Koka is under two security measures "arrest in prison" for two incinerators, that of Elbasan and Fier. Currently, awaiting the end of the investigations, he is in custody in Durrës.

SPAK accuses Lefter Koka of abuse of office, money laundering and corruption.
