A wreath of flowers, a clear symbol of threat, was left at the gate of the apartment of the parents of Emiljano Nika, director of IKMT Shkodra. The incident was recorded in the village of Sektor of Velipoja and was immediately reported to the police.

Nika is one of the officials who led the action to demolish illegal constructions in the protected area of Theth, an operation that has met with strong opposition from the residents of the area.

According to the Police: "On 18.07.2025, citizen EN, 44 years old, resident of Shkodra, reported that a wreath of flowers was placed on the railings of the gate in the apartment where his parents live, in the village of Sektor, Velipojë. Investigations are ongoing to fully clarify the circumstances and identify the perpetrator."

The materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Shkodra Court of First Instance for further action.

Nika has previously faced threats due to his role as head of interventions against illegal construction. The police are investigating to fully clarify the case and guarantee the safety of him and his family.
