The person who threatened several minors with a knife in the area of ​​Lungomare in Vlorë has been arrested by the police.

After the video published on Saturday, where the man was seen terrorizing children in a park, the blues of the coastal city arrested the 30-year-old with the initials AM, who was also found with the dog.

The police announce that it is about a person suffering from mental illness.

Police notification:

Regarding a video published on social networks, yesterday, in which a citizen appears threatening several minors, in the area of ​​Lungomare, Vlorë, we inform you that:         

The structures of the Vlora Police Station immediately carried out the verifications and made it possible to identify the AM citizen, locate him today, around 12:30, in the Lungomare area and accompany him to the premises of the Station.

At the end of the procedural actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office and the criminal proceedings started for the citizen AM, 30 years old, resident in Vlora.

As material evidence, a cutting tool (knife) was seized, which was found on the 30-year-old during the physical check. 

Citizen AM has been sent to the Vlora psychiatric hospital for medical treatment, because he suffers from a mental illness. 

The Local Directorate of the Vlora Police thanks the media and citizens for denouncing the illegalities and invites them to continue denouncing at the number 112, guaranteeing complete anonymity, immediate and impartial response.
