A 71-year-old woman was found drowned this morning in Lake Pogradec.

The victim was identified as Hatixhe Qeska, who had fled her apartment in Korça, on February 12 this year.

According to the police, the elderly woman was found near the place called "Tushemisht Pumps", while the preliminary examination did not reveal any signs of violence.

Immediately, work has begun on the full clarification of the event.

Police notification:

On 22.05.2022, around 11:35, we were informed that in the place called "Pumps of Tushemisht" in Pogradec, was found drowned in the lake the citizen HQ, 71 years old, resident in Korça, who had left the apartment on dated 12.02.2022. From the preliminary examination of the corpse, no signs of violence were found.

The investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the event.
