Ndrek Prenga, the brother of Jan Prenga, who was kidnapped and disappeared without a trace in January 2020, traveled from London to Tirana to testify in the trial against those who are accused of ordering this crime.

In today's session at the Special Court against Gramoz Rexhepaj, Gentian Funiq and others, Ndrek Prenga said that in 2020 he was in prison in London, from where he kept in touch with his family through the prison phone.

During this period, he said, a foreign citizen inserted a phone into his cell. In this device, he was contacted on the WhatsApp application by a person who introduced himself as Gentian Funiqi, who told him that his brother Astrit Prenga, an immigrant to Britain, should return "that thing".

The witness explained that he later learned that it was about a quantity of 260 kg of cocaine. He said he had tried to get in touch with his brother, but had not been able to. After a day or two, his wife informed him that his other brother in Albania, Jan Prenga, had been taken hostage.

According to Ndrek Prenga, to clarify the situation, his uncle and another person went to Shkodër, where they met Gentian Funiq's (Doçi) father, but the latter said that he had no knowledge or responsibility for what his son was doing. .

According to the witness, after the termination of communication with Gentian Funiq, a person introduced himself as Gramoz wrote to him from another number. The latter claimed that the amount of cocaine stolen from Astrit Prenga was his. The witness Prenga has shown that the moment the police intervened in the "Golden" complex in Shijak, where it is suspected that his brother also died, he stopped communicating with all those he had spoken to.

Jan Prenga was kidnapped in Kamëz on January 17, 2020. According to SPAK, the kidnapping was ordered by Dritan Rexhepaj and Gentian Funiqi, currently arrested in Turkey and Spain, as pressure for his brother, who had stolen a quantity of drugs in England. For the kidnapping and disappearance of Prenga SPAK also accuses 5 other people.
