It promised the most beautiful smile with zirconia teeth. It offered the chance to pay in installments and discounted prices for any dental service. But many of the customers who chose the suspect Gentiana Elezi faced a real nightmare.

Some lost their teeth and others paid dearly and did not receive service. The case was investigated by the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, which closed the investigations against the dentist and handed her over as a defendant under the charge of repeated fraud.

According to the investigation file, the 39-year-old woman was initially accused by a citizen who said that she had paid 2 thousand euros for a dental implant. Then two other citizens went to the police, who confessed that they had seen the announcement on social networks and were lured by a 50 percent discount, paying for specialized dental treatment. But the implants of both citizens fell out and their teeth moved, and when they asked for the dentist's help, she was gone.

Dentistry has been declared wanted, despite the fact that the authorities knew about her activity, how long she had been investigated for the same crime in Korça and was sentenced by the court of first instance there to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment. But at the same time when the dentist was accused of the same scheme and in her own city, as she appealed the case, she continued the activity undisturbed with the intention of making money.

Under these conditions, the prosecution declares, the suspect moved from Korça to the capital by deceiving customers. Her file shows that she graduated as a dentist in 2002. After seizing the documents, the prosecution also concludes that the dentist is not registered in the dentist's order. The prosecution tells the court that the young woman, whose address has not been found, is suspected of having started the illegal activity in 2019./Tch
