Kristjan Medolli's escape lasted very little.

21-year-old Kristjan Medolli escaped today from the courtroom in Korça, where a security measure would be given for him, after he was arrested for theft.

Shortly after the escape, the police managed to handcuff the 21-year-old near the hills of the city of Korça.

Police report that he was caught hiding near the asylum in Korça, near the church of St. Thanas, inserted through thorns and bushes.

The young man was handcuffed on May 6 for burglary. According to sources at the time of the escape, he was in handcuffs.

After his escape, checkpoints were set up on the national axis Korça-Pogradec. The young man, however, would not go too far. Tracking dogs were also used to capture him.

"Following the preliminary information of today, which was about the removal from the Korça Judicial District Court of the citizen KM, (previously arrested for theft) we inform you that thanks to the quick actions, by the services of the Commissariat of Korça Police, it became possible to catch this citizen near the hills of the city of Korça and accompany him, for further procedural actions ", announced the police.
