"Iberia" lands in Albania, the Spanish flight company, direct

"The year seems to be off to a good start, with about 2 million tourists visiting our country so far. Seeing the influx of tourists from Spain, the largest Spanish airline "Iberia" has started operating for several days, with direct flights from Madrid to Tirana three times a week.

This partnership was greeted by a high-ranking Delegation of Spanish tourism, who arrived at Tirana International Airport.

The Operational Director of the Airport, Piervittorio Farabbi, named Tirana International Airport as the engine of tourism development in Albania.

"The arrival of Iberia brings not only tourists from Spain, but from all over the world, via Madrid as a connecting hub, because this Iberia operates in most countries of the world."

Ivaro Renedo Zalba, The Ambassador of Spain for Albania affirmed that this development will strengthen the Albania-Spain relationship in a strategic respect, such as tourism.

"I am convinced that this line will continue to affect the huge increase in the number of tourists from Spain. Thank you for this important bridge between Spain and Albania."

The Spanish delegation was headed by Mr Felix de Paz Zalba, Head of Tour Espagna, the National Tourism Promotion Agency in Spain.

"Iberia's arrival in Albania is significant because it is one of the largest airlines in the world. The plane we came on from Madrid was full, and it shows a lot that the new era of tourism is now a fact."

On behalf of the Albanian government, Director of Civil Aviation, Maksim Et'hemaj thanked Iberia company as an important link to Europe.

"Thank you to Air And Airport Control for responding with infrastructure to increase tourism in Albania. More tourists means more flights, more capacity, more new jobs and of course economic growth for the country." /Top Channel
