Vlora police have organized several operations today for environmental crimes on the beaches of the south, arresting several people.
Tourists and citizens have notified the police about environmental pollution from inerts, who are thrown by businesses in the area that are carrying out reconstructions on the eve of the summer season.
Through a message, Vlora Police call on businesses and individuals to dispose of waste in designated places, as they risk being prosecuted for this criminal offense.
Message from The Grenfell Police:
Communication with the public of the Director of Police Ermal Mucaj on the detention and criminal prosecution of some persons involved in environmental crimes and damage to public property.
The Local Police Directorate of Vlora, thanks to the support of the citizens, has launched in recent days the controls of the coastline of Vlora district, aiming to prevent environmental crimes, mainly pollution of the environment and illegal constructions in the coastal area.
From the inspections we have found that many tour operators have started to prepare the facilities for the reception of vacationers during the summer season and during work have polluted the environment, throwing inerts on the streets and in public spaces and not in the designated places for this purpose.
As you can see, we have criminally prosecuted some citizens in connection with this criminal offense and I take the opportunity to call on tourist operators and residents of coastal areas, not to pollute the environment, throwing waste and waste on the road and not to carry out constructions without permission because they will legally respond.
I invite citizens to denounce any case of illegal construction, environmental pollution and any other illegality, guaranteeing you complete anonymity and immediate and legal response, as together we can build a more welcoming environment for tourists and visitors.
