Journalist Elton Qyno, in a statement for Top Channel, analyzed the serious event that occurred in Lezha, where the Mujeci couple were executed, leaving behind four children.

He links this crime to a chain of unsolved events and the failure of the justice system to deliver final decisions in a timely manner.

"The whole story begins in 2018 and the whole essence of the problem is precisely the decisions of the courts, which have not been able to come up with a decision to provide a solution to the first serious case where Genc Mhillaj lost his life," said Qyno.

According to him, the lack of a clear decision has created ground for the escalation of violence, leading the case to self-justification.

"Our justice system is not able to put the dots on who killed him. Despite the paperwork and the courts having turned into paper mills, in the end one court says this, another court says that. It goes back for a retrial and the case is on appeal. In the impossibility of being tried quickly and on appeal, then the parallel trial and parallel investigation come into play... the automatic barrage begins. So, as you did to me in 2018, they will do it in 2026. You killed my father, I will kill you too and that's it," said the journalist.

According to journalist Elton Qyno, this event risks not ending here, he mentioned the case of Nikuljave in Shëngjin.

"There are four children... if this continues, it will continue. I foresee a tragic end between the two families. Identical to how the case with Nikulaj began. The moment Nikulaj was killed in Shëngjin, Lezha, a massacre began that has so far counted five or six victims. Instead of closing and the parties moving towards reconciliation, it got even worse, with both sides starting to kill innocent people within the two families," he said.

Another serious element of this incident, according to him, is the fact that his wife was also a victim. Journalist Elton Qyno said that Kreshnik Mujeci always moved with his wife because he was afraid of possible revenge.

"The problem with this incident is something else, because the wife was killed. Usually, to my knowledge, he always took his wife with him, also because he carried a weapon and to avoid police checks, if he was caught, his wife would take the weapon without permission," he said.

Elton Qyno added that the perpetrator suspected of shooting has been a wanted person since January of this year, despite his wanted status, the perpetrator managed to organize the crime, which clearly shows the failure of the institutions.

 "The main perpetrator who is suspected of organizing and shooting is Adriano Mhillaj. Since January 2026, he has been wanted by decision of the Shkodra Court for threatening with a weapon and illegal possession of firearms. From this time until now, he has not only not been caught, but has had the luxury of organizing, mobilizing, finding weapons, cars, people and then the target and executing them. So from one measure we go to a second measure 'arrest in prison' and the state to this day has still not caught him," said Qyno.
