The director of the Tirana Police, Tonin Vocaj, has given details from the scene of the assassination at "Don Bosco" where two people were injured.

Kastriot Elezaj and Renaldo Metushi were sitting in the bar drinking coffee, when they were shot at least 7 times with firearms. The attack happened around 14:15 this Tuesday, in the area of ​​Don Bosco in Tirana. As a result of the shooting, the two persons in question were injured.

As for the perpetrators, Vocaj revealed that there were three people who participated in this assassination, including the driver.

They were traveling by car and according to Vocaj, they opened fire without getting out of the vehicle.

"It is believed that there were three people, including the driver of the vehicle. No illegal items were found among the injured. The perpetrators fired from the vehicle, did not get off. We have film footage of how the event took place and have created a fairly clear idea of ​​the dynamics of the event. The perpetrators opened fire from the car, there is a high probability that they were masked."

Vocaj stated that in the territory of police station No. 5, a car was found burnt, which is suspected to have been used by the perpetrators of the incident.

"We are checking throughout the area for business and public security cameras. In the territory of Commissariat No. 5, a burned vehicle was found, matching the one used by the perpetrators, the license plates were identified as not stolen, but the chassis number does not match the original vehicle. Investigations continue, 7 cartridges fired from a firearm of an unspecified type have been seized. A firearm was also found in the vehicle, which is being examined by the investigative team," declared Vocaj.

Asked by journalists what is the relationship between Kastriot Elez (45 years old) and Ronaldo Metushi (22 years old), Vocaj said that there is a social connection between the two injured.

"They were at the same table. We have documented that they have only social ties. The young man is not a waiter, they were drinking coffee on the veranda of this bar. For the target will be determined by the investigation. At least one of them has criminal records, but we are investigating the background that the injured have and the possible conflicts they may have."

Vocaj did not confirm who was the target of this attack, however he said that the past of the injured is being analyzed and that one of them has a criminal record.

It is about 45-year-old Kastriot Elezaj, who was convicted in Italy for exploiting prostitution and participating in a criminal group. It is learned that he was extradited from our country to Italy and after completing his sentence he returned to Albania.

As for the 22-year-old Metushi, he does not appear to have a criminal record.

The young man was shot in the leg, while the 45-year-old man was wounded in the chest. Both are in the hospital, out of danger.
