A 44-year-old woman has been arrested by the Saranda Police after blackmailing a 39-year-old woman from Saranda on social networks in order to extort money.

Zyhra Korra, 44, took 5,000 euros from the 39-year-old through threats and was seeking another 50,000 euros.

Police Notification

He blackmailed and threatened a citizen on social media, took 5,000 euros from her and demanded another 50,000 euros, the 44-year-old woman is in custody.

Following the investigative actions, regarding the report of a citizen, who had stated that a sum of money had been taken from her through blackmail and threats, specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes against Property, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, made it possible to detain the suspected perpetrator, citizen:

ZH, 44 years old, resident of Durrës, for the criminal offense of "Extortion by threat or violence for the provision of property".

This citizen is suspected of having, through blackmail and threats on social media, taken the sum of 5,000 euros from a 39-year-old woman from Saranda and continued to threaten her to take another 50,000 euros.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, for further action.
