A 19-month-old baby with Italian-Albanian parents died unexpectedly while on vacation with his grandparents in Albania.

The news has been announced by the Italian media that emphasize that Soleil Andolfi passed away in the arms of his parents unexpectedly, while the causes are still unclear.

It is suspected that the baby's parents, Alesandro and Lorinda, were infected with Covid during their holidays in Albania and after that the little one started having health problems.

But it is not clear whether the baby tested positive for Covid and that the parents' condition contributed to her deterioration. Despite being taken to hospital on Friday, 19-month-old Soleil passed away.

Forensic analyzes will determine the causes of death of the baby, who lived with his parents and two siblings in the Ascol region.

But in Albania, for the case in question, it has been reported that the baby, who was on vacation with his grandparents in Delvina, mistakenly drank the methadone of his uncle who was suffering from drug problems. 

The little girl's body will be returned to Italy today and the funeral will take place this afternoon in the Regina Pacis church.
