Sentenced in Italy to 14 years in prison, Leonard Kote is arrested in Elbasan

Elbasan police arrested Leonard Koten, 56 years old, sentenced to 14 years in prison for attempted murder.

Following the work for the capture of wanted persons, by the services of the Operational Section in DVP Elbasan, in cooperation with Interpol Tirana, based on the information provided on the operational route, for the location of a wanted citizen, the police operation was organized and finalized coded "Bergamo". 

As a result of this operation, the citizen was caught and arrested, with the purpose of extradition:    

Leonard Kote, 56 years old, resident of Elbasan.    

This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the Court of Bergamo, Italy, with the criminal decision dated 21.04.2003, sentenced him to 14 years of imprisonment, for the criminal offenses "Murder", remaining in the attempt, "Theft of a firearm " and "Carrying a firearm without a permit in public places", provided by the Italian Criminal Code.   

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, continues the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to Italy. - announces the police.
