Sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of the teacher, the Albanian rapes

Koçi Selamaj, 36 years old, has been sentenced to life imprisonment after the murder of teacher Sabina Nessa in the United Kingdom.

According to foreign media, Selamaj attacked two officers in the Frankland prison, where he is serving his sentence.

He was jailed for life for the brutal murder of Sabina, who was going to a pub in Kidbrooke, South East London, to meet an old friend.

The primary school teacher, 28, was ambushed and then beaten to death in a "premeditated and predatory" attack by strangers.

Selamaj has now been sentenced to a further four-and-a-half years after admitting wounding one officer with intent and assaulting another, causing him actual bodily harm.

The prison staff heard noises coming from the Albanian's cell. When they went to check what was going on, they saw that your toilet had been destroyed.

The Albanian then hit one officer with a broken piece of toilet, causing a wound to his knee and forearm, before hitting the second officer two or three times in the face.

How Sabina's murder happened

Chilling CCTV footage shows the Albanian checking around to make sure no one was watching, before he started running after the terrified Sabina on September 17.

Selamaj jumped on him and hit him 34 times with a 2-meter metal weapon.

He was then filmed carrying her unconscious into the dark.

It is suspected that the crime occurred for sexual reasons.

Sabina's body was found by a dog walker covered in leaves near the OpenSpace community center the next day, just 200 meters from her home.
