The last farewell is given today to the two victims, Lavdimir and Gramos Kurtaj , who were executed with a volley of bullets by their fellow villager, Altin Kukaj.
The double crime happened at noon yesterday (September 10), at around 14:00 in the village of Kurjan in Roskovec. The escort to the last residence of the two brothers will take place at 15:00 in Roskovec.
How the double crime happened
A children's quarrel, a banal conflict and two killed by Kalashnikov volleys.
This is the panorama of a sad event that shocked Tuesday afternoon from the village of Kurjan in Roskovec, where the 50-year-old man mercilessly shot his two brothers, friends and companions, people with whom he shared coffee every day.
Those who know them know, meanwhile, even though several hours have passed since that massacre, no one knows how he managed to commit Altin Kuka, who, among other things, is said to have shared the same life fate with one of the victims.
The author was put in handcuffs, after surrendering, his two children accompanied him, one of whom is said to have been involved in a fight with the son of one of the victims.
The two brothers, one 52 years old and the other 46 years old, were having lunch coffee in the bar owned by them, when the armed Altini arrived at the door.
It is still not known what was the dialogue that the friends had about the issue of confusing the children the day before, but what has closed the sad story is the fact that Altini took his life with a Kalashnikov.
THE EVENT AND CONFESSIONS
The police announced that the two brothers, Gramosi, 52 years old, and Lavdimir Kurtaj, 46 years old, were victims of a fight that started on Monday between children.
Initially, it was reported that the two victims were uncle and nephew, but according to the testimony of residents, they are brothers, but one of them (suspectedly Lavdimiri) was raised by his uncle, that is, the brother of his biological father.
While they were in the center of the village, the father of one of the children who had a fight, 50-year-old Altin Kuka, arrived at a bar owned by Gramoz Kurtaj to clarify. Even the author, according to the same resident, was raised by his mother's sister's family.
"We don't know how the moment was, they had social relations. The victims were brothers, but one of them was adopted by his uncle, they were brothers. The author is also adopted, Baxhanaku took him as a child and raised him here", he says.
Meanwhile, other residents claim that the victim and the perpetrator knew each other and stayed together, or drank coffee.
" I found out on TV, we have friends. The victims were brothers, good people. The author is also from the village, his house is over there. These things have never happened to us, not even two brothers when a chicken is killed, "said the resident.
"This action does not justify the reason, we were together a week ago. The brother of these two victims came from America, they were staying there. A village that has been washed away from all the traditions it had", says another.
According to the witnesses at the scene, the fight ended in swearing and a physical fight between the two brothers and the perpetrator, who is suspected to have been not alone.
Meanwhile, the 50-year-old man, who had the vehicle nearby, took an automatic firearm and shot at two brothers, one of whom died on the spot, while the other died in the regional hospital of Fier.
Immediately after the incident, the perpetrator surrendered to the Fier police station, where he also surrendered the crime weapon.
Meanwhile, dozens of police forces went to the village of Kurjan after the incident to arrest the possible accomplices of the author, as well as to clarify the causes and to avoid a possible conflict between the two tribes.
For the residents of the village, this is an event where the cause does not justify the action, so they are shocked, as such events have never happened in this village.
