Details from the arrest of 42-year-old Arjan Bllacaj , a resident of Kamëz, who called businessman Adi Haxhiymeri, owner of the " Prima " flour factory, on behalf of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliajt . 

Florian Gjergji, previously wanted by the Tirana police for the same criminal offense, is hiding behind this fraud scenario. Florian Gjergji himself turns out to be outside the country's territory, in Germany.

Florian Gjergji is a well-known name to the police, since about a month ago the 40-year-old reappeared in a similar scene of fraud with businessmen in Tirana, disguising himself as a high-ranking official.

Who is Florian Gjergji?

Florian Gjergji  is suspected of carrying out all the criminal activity from Germany , where in one of the cases of the attempt to deceive he told the people he agreed with that they would send him the money after receiving it from the businessman.

6 cases of fraud

On January 10, 2023,  he tried to deceive the businessman Pëllumb Salillari , who was tried to get 130 thousand euros by presenting himself as a high-ranking official. 

On May 17, 2023  , mentioning the name of the mayor Erion Veliaj, they tried to take 70 thousand euros from the businessman, Ramë Geci , through fraud.

On February 14, 2023,  the owner of a casino in Tirana was deceived when he was asked for 40 thousand euros disguised as the former head of the Cadastre, Artan Lame.

On August 4, 2023,  an attempt was made to defraud the owner of 'Brunes', Geront Çela . The name that was used as the 'sender' was that of the mayor of Vlorë, Ermal Dredha.

The police managed to discover the accomplices at the moment when the delivery of the sum of 35,000 euros was organized. 

September 29, 2023  they try to take 70 thousand euros from the construction businessman Aleksandër Gavoçi . They pretended to be the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj .

October 19 tried  to take the sum of 200 thousand euros from the businessman Adi Haxhiymeri , owner of the Prima flour factory, on behalf of the mayor of Tirana , Erion Veliajt./ VoxNews
