Poisoning of 56 students of the Security Academy, AKU: SORI-AL's activity

The National Food Authority has issued an official announcement following the investigations and verifications carried out following the suspected poisoning of 56 trainees at the Sauk Security Academy.

According to the AKU, as part of the procedures followed after the incident, samples were taken for analysis of environmental hygiene and work equipment in the kitchens of the Security Academy in Sauk, as well as in the kitchen of the Armed Forces Garrison in Tirana.

The samples were analyzed at the reference laboratory of the Food Safety and Veterinary Institute , where according to official results, they resulted within the permitted norms for hygiene indicators.

Following these reports, the AKU has continued with the relevant inspections in both facilities, both at the Security Academy in Sauk and at the Armed Forces Garrison.

At the conclusion of the procedures, the authority has decided to unblock the activity of the entity " SORI-AL ", and has tasked the entity to conduct self-control analyses for the finished product served within the Garrison premises, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation in force.

NFA announcement:

Following the announcements made by the National Food Authority, regarding the follow-up of the case of poisoning of trainees at the Safety Academy in Sauk, they inform that the NFA carried out the procedure of taking samples for environmental hygiene and work equipment within the kitchen premises of the Safety Academy, Sauk and within the kitchen premises of the Armed Forces Garrison.

After analyzing them at the ISUV Reference Laboratory, we inform you that they have resulted within the permitted norms for hygiene indicators.

Referring to these evidence reports, the inspection procedure was carried out at the addresses within the premises of the Security Academy, Sauk, Tirana and within the premises of the Garrison of the Armed Forces, Tirana.

At the end of the procedure, the AKU unblocked the activity of the entity SORI-AL, and assigned it the task of conducting self-control analyses for the finished product within the premises of the Armed Forces Garrison, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation in force.
