The First Capital Command (Primeiro Comando da Capital), the largest criminal organization in Brazil and South America, has expanded its ties with Europe and Africa, sending its emissaries to trade the drugs it buys in Bolivia, according to a report published by Argentine media outlet Infobae.

This organization has existed for three decades and, according to law enforcement authorities, has 40,000 life members in its ranks and about 60,000 more contractors, making it one of the most active criminal gangs in the world.

A decade ago, the Brazilian gang collaborated with Narcosur, one of the world's largest drug trafficking organizations, and based in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, which is also involved in money laundering, according to the report.

In fact, Brazil's Federal Police point out that the central geographic location in South America transformed Bolivia into the sanctuary of Narcosure, as investigators call the cartel that brings together representatives of pcc leadership (Primeiro Comando da Capital) and associates in the international drug trade.

In addition, Argentine media point out that PCC bought cocaine wholesale in Bolivia at $1500 per kilogram, loaded it onto a ship at a Brazilian port and sold it at $8000 per kilogram. He would then take it to Europe and sell it every kilo for $30,000.

A record 303 tons of cocaine was seized in the European Union in 2021. This organisation is thought to have emissaries in at least six European countries, including Britain, Albania, Serbia and Italy.

The Federal Police and Europol allege that the PCC carries out drug transactions with the Italian 'Ndrangheta, the biggest mafia in Europe.

Another region to which PCC sends controlled substances is West Africa, as countries in that region are strategic flashpoints for sending drugs to China and India. Brazilian drug traffickers have also been known to control neighbourhoods in Nigeria, just as they do in their country.
