The group of Iranian hackers "Homeland Justice" published today a material of 1.7 gigabytes where all the police information was filed in the MEMEX system for persons suspected of being involved in criminal activity.
Contrary to what the Albanian government claims that the data obtained by the hackers are not co-confidential or "secret", or that there was no major damage from the attack, today's movement proves once again that the cyber attack has penetrated into every unit of the Albanian systems security and that after the TIMS system or the hacking of emails and custody cameras, the disposition and publication of the MEMEX system constitutes a serious risk for the work of state authorities.
With this publication, any person involved in criminal activity can search and see how the Albanian police presents him in the search system.
But what is MEMEX?
MEMEX is also known as the Criminal Information Management System and is the main tool in the work of the State Police. MEMEX maintains secret police records on every criminal exponent.
This system serves to receive and transmit notifications about the criminal event that occurred, police information as well as data about the persons involved in these events or information.
Today's strike by Homeland Justice undoes that system. The work of several years of police officers has already been undermined.
