Today, the court left Ilir Paja in prison, with the aim of extradition to Italy. It is learned that the defense has claimed that he has completed his sentence after the sentences were combined and in 2011, the former serious crimes sentenced him for the crimes in Italy to 17 years and three months in prison.

We remind you that Paja was arrested two days ago at the expense of Italian justice. He was arrested on the evening of November 3 in the Lapraka area of ​​the capital with the purpose of extradition to Italy, where he was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

He is known by the nickname "UFO" by Italian justice, after he escaped from prison twice. In 2017, he was released on bail by the Kruja court after serving a sentence for wounding a police officer in 2008, Bledi Haxhimali, during an operation in Tirana to arrest him.

Ilir Paja was also accused of several criminal offenses committed in Italian territory, including "intentional murder in an attempted collaboration", "kidnapping and holding a person hostage" and "violent sexual relations with minors".

Although he was arrested in Italy, after several months of imprisonment, in June 2006, he was able to escape from Perugia custody, using sheets as a rope, until his second arrest, on September 4, 2006. The Albanian was imprisoned for 5 months awaiting extradition from Germany, where he was accused of murdering another Albanian in Duisburg.

He was detained in Italy and the charge of exploitation of prostitution was also added to him. But he was able to escape from prison again, on August 14, 2007, while the police were transporting him by ambulance, because the convict was in a very serious psychological state and had attempted suicide several times.
