Greek court remands two Albanians arrested for the murder of Irakli Davellas,
Jenis Tulja and Mirjan Guveli

The two suspects in the December 15th assassination attempt in Thrakomakedones, Athens, where 47-year-old Irakli Davella was killed and 46-year-old Edi Lulo alias Etmond Hysa and another Albanian were injured, appeared before the Court in Greece today.

The two suspects, Jenis Tulja, 44, and Mirjan Guveli, 45, denied their involvement in the serious incident. They refused to give statements to the trial panel, stating that they wanted to first familiarize themselves with the evidence, especially the audio-visual evidence, which, as the defense lawyers mentioned, they have not yet received.

Specifically, in their written statement, the defense lawyers of the two defendants, Manolis Anastasakis and Spyridon Dionysiotis, state: Our clients denied the charges and then exercised their right to remain silent, because we were not provided with the written material of all the preliminary investigations and specifically all the audio-visual material which is also the dominant means of evidence. We reserve the right to an additional hearing when and if we learn these details.
