"Stop" was in Pristina to talk about an accident on October 6, 2022 where the trailer driver Skënder Durma was unjustly fined by the Kosovo Police and a police officer named Mehmet.

On November 1, 2022, while he was unloading, he was warned by the business director not to leave and was held until the police were notified.

Durma was fined and then the footage was seen, where the citizen considered the measure against him unfair.

"The director comes, I told him what the problem is. I don't know, it's not a big problem, but you caused an accident a few days ago, a month ago here at the roundabout. The director only told me that a citizen came and complained to me. Thats it. At the moment I told him to call the police. He personally called this policeman, Mehmet. He told me where the driver is. He told me you had an accident, I have the footage on my phone but I can't open it here. We saw the footage and I said that this is unfair, that this person, this car entered... I'm fine, it entered the opposite wing".

But, as Skenderi testifies, he was blackmailed by the police that they could deport him and stop him from entering Kosovo. In this way, Skenderi accepted the fine of 140 Euros.

"At first he said to deport me from here and allow you to enter Kosovo. I said do whatever you want, I am accepting what you say and I was obliged to pay the fine", said the informant.

"Stop" went to the scene and Skënder Durma explained what happened by referring to the footage he saw in the police station.  

A car entered the right side, after moving from the parking lot, and this vehicle touched the mirror on the last tire of the trailer.

The journalist did the test with the trailer and the vehicle of "Stop" to demonstrate what happened. Automotive expert Fatmir Hasho considers the fine and penalization of the driver Skënder Durma unfair.

"The regulations are the same throughout Europe, where both Albania and Kosovo have the same. The trailer has started the left turning maneuver. The mirror of the vehicle was hit by the last tire of the trailer. Here we are in a case where the trailer is preset. As you told me, taking into account the length of the trailer, which is at least 12 meters, the responsibility of the driver seems inappropriate in this case. An unfair fine has been made", said the expert.
