GJKKO decided to continue the "house arrest" measure for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha as well as for Jamarber Malltez. The court rejected the request of the lawyers of both parties.
GJKKO overturned the request for the revocation of the security measure for the former prime minister and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi accused of corruption related to the privatization of the former Partizani sports complex that was followed by the construction of 19 towers.
In the session, the prosecutors brought materials taken from albanja.com and top channel about Berisha's meetings with Rai's journalist and Elmar Brok. They said that Berisha did not respect the decision of the security measure.
Also, according to the prosecutors, Berisha introduced technical means into the apartment, and with these facts, the prosecutors asked to dismiss the request for revocation of the measure. The request was accepted by judge Gjoka.
